Tems is the epitome of a breakout star. The first time I became familiar with her was when she featured on AUX Sessions in 2018. The then 23-year-old came out of seemingly nowhere to perform her breakout single, “Mr Rebel” which arrived as a very early contender for the soundtrack of that year and is still among the most viewed videos on our YouTube channel today. She has since gone on to prove she’s more than a one-hit-wonder and her newly released EP, ‘If Orange Was A Place’ is currently getting international spotlight with her recent RCA record deal and her feature as Apple Music’s Up Next artist.

Aux sessions has also grown since Tems was hosted at our studio nearly three years ago. We now collaborate with artists to create 3-track projects that highlight the distinctive styles of music coming out of Africa while showcasing the artists who have the potential to become the next big artist. This means in addition to the intimate live music sessions, we also offer artists mainstream exposure through billboard placements, playlist features, social media ads, radio jingles, media kits, etc.

This month, Daisy and Majesty Lyn joined the elite rank of artists featured on the Aux sessions. Although both artists already released their debut singles, “New Nigeria” and “Johnny Bravo'' respectively, their most ambitious projects to date are their respective Aux Micro albums, ‘OT’ and ‘My Cheese’. With their 2 new tracks and AUX Radio interlude, the tapes capture the same distinctive mood shifts that defined their earlier singles while showcasing a marked evolution of their sounds. Both artists are now poised for a monumental 2021 following the exposure gotten from their AUX projects.

We’ve also hosted DJBlaqbeat, SGaWD and Vader the Wildcard for our second AUX cypher. You can’t beat the camaraderie of having artists in the same room, hanging out like friends and encouraging each other when they’re up. We invited AUX alum, SGaWD and former Hennessy Cypher winner, Vader the Wildcard to freestyle over instrumentals provided by DJ Blaqbeat for the latest AUX Cypher and they delivered cocky bars that can make women feel sexy and men feel cool.

You can catch up on all our latest AUX guest features on the AUX Radio show which airs on CoolFM every Saturday and Sunday. Majesty Lyn is the next guest and you should tune in to get an in-depth look into the world of one of Afropop’s rising stars.

You can also watch the latest AUX Cypher, Majesty Lyn’s AUX Sessions and Daisy’s AUX Sessions on YouTube through the link here. And if you believe you have what it takes to get on the AUX, head to our website, and submit your songs for consideration.
